Meghalaya
Board of School Education (MBOSE) was established in 1973, with headquarters in
Tura, to conduct examinations, develop curricula, and evaluate and certify SSLC
candidates for the first time in 1974. Higher Secondary Section was then known
as P.U. (Pre-University), and its examinations were handled by NEHU-North East
Hills University, with its headquarters in Shillong. However, when the
University (NEHU) discontinued the Pre-University Course in 1996, it was taken
over by the Board, and since then, all financial matters relating to the SSLC
and HSSLC branches have been handled by the Board. The work load has increased
as the number of students per year has increased. Since 1996, the Board has
been in charge of all academic matters pertaining to the development of curriculum
for all classes, including SSLC and HSSLC.

In
May, the Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) will announce the MBOSE
SSLC/HSSLC result 2022 tentatively. Megresults.nic.in is the official website
