Recently, State Bank of India (SBI) has launched its WhatsApp Banking service so to easily accessible to SBI facilities for the customers. It was officially announced on tweeter on Thursday that they are providing such kind of services to the customers. Such availability of banking services on WhatsApp will make life easy for users and they will no longer need to download a new applications or go to the ATM to check their account balances, it will be easily accessible through the WhatsApp app.
“Your bank is now on WhatsApp. Get to know your Account Balance and view Mini Statement on the go,” SBI said announcing the launch of the service on Twitter. For now, SBI users on WhatsApp will be able to get their account balance and do mini bank statements as well. To avail SBI WhatsApp Banking services, users will just need to send a ‘Hi’ to the mentioned number +919022690226. Here are the following steps to get your SBI bank account balance on WhatsApp:
Step 1: You will first need to register your account for SBI WhatsApp Banking services.
Step 2: To register for these services, you will need to send “SMS WAREG A/c No” to 917208933148 from your 10 digit mobile number registered with the bank.
Step 3: Once the registration is completed, send ‘Hi’ to the number +919022690226.
Step 4: Next, you will receive a message stating “Dear Customer, Welcome to SBI Whatsapp Banking Services.
Please choose from any of the options below.
1. Account Balance
2. Mini Statement
3. De-register from WhatsApp Banking
You may also type your query to get started.”
Step 5: Select the option as per your requirements. To check your account balance type “1”, while get mini statement type “2”. Your account balance or mini statement will now be displayed on WhatsApp.
Additionally, the State Bank of India also offers WhatsApp-based services to its credit card users under the name of SBI Card WhatsApp connect. This service allows SBI credit card customers to check their account summary, reward points, outstanding balance, make card payments, and more.
